Lanzarote keeps on delivering!
What a week it has been! And then when you think it can't get any better, it does! The wave this morning at Jameos was just pure magic, the sun was out which made the lip almost transparent. The wind played ball too, plenty of power to blast around on 5.0.

Too tired :)
Since Charcos was so epic yesterday I wanted to go again today. But after a full week of sailing and a crazy session this morning at Jameos I just couldn't really enjoy it. Also, the wind dropped and the waves decreased after half an hour. Any other day I would write that it was a good session, but with that Jameos in the morning, it seemed flat, so I didn't last long.

Cherry on top
The wind eased of a bit, which made it just perfect for comfortable sailing with 5.0 and it also meant less choppy waves. Tim was back, it's always good to not sail alone :)
I got a couple of really nice powerful turns then started making mistakes one after another, just too tired from the whole week of sailing non-stop. Decided to play it safe and went back to the beach before I break something and sit behind the camera for a bit.
Need rest. Lots of it.

Jameos, for the Nth time
Offshore and small waves. I went on high tide which was a mistake -- it made the waves even smaller. Would probably be better on lower tide, but I only had a two hour window today.
Still, I got to sail Jameos, can't complain:)

First time surfing in La Santa
It was a dull and cloudy day with just enough wind to always be looking out to see if it is enough for planing. Mitja then convinced me to go surfing in La Santa. I was lazy but went with it. Such a great idea! It was sunny when we got there, with nice sets rolling into the beginner's bay. Caught a few nice ones on the "new" board that I rented for a few months from Toni.
I should do this more often!

Another good day in La Santa
A bit smaller than yesterday, but I caught some good ones. And cut my toe on the rocks :S Rest day tomorrow I guess ...

Looked small and slow when we arrived. Was thinking of going home, but Mitja really wanted to go sail. The wind seemed strong enough for blasting around on 5.0 so why not, let's have another try on the new Frine 5.0. Turns out, it was another of those good days on Jameos! Just as we got in La Surfera started working, good size, with plenty of wind for getting back up in the lineup. Caught a gazillion waves in about an hour or so, then the wind picked up and started ruining the waves (was a bit onshore). Time to call it a day. And what a day it was!

The windiest I've ever seen it here. Noone was in the water until later in the afternoon when it dropped -- to just perfect for 3.7! Massive waves in Costa Teguise, so I knew Matagorda was ON! And it was! Super nices waves were breaking next to the airport lights.
I love this spot so much, good waves and quite safe so I can really push and hit them late!

Still a ton of wind remained from yesterday and since the direction was quite easterly it was time to go to the playground in front of our house: Los Charcos.
A lot of people on the water, fun waves, good vibes. Had a couple of good rides, pulled off a tiny aerial just by the lower jetty and just generally had a top day.
If only Mitja would be more careful and wouldn't get washed on the rocks by the lower jetty. You really don't want to get caught there ...

After-work "at least I'll get wet" session in Famara with Mitja. Mushy and choppy wave, but sure as hell beats an hour in the gym.
